Fox chosen to represent the Dukes at All Star Game

Pittsfield infielder to start for the
Southern Division in Keene

PITTSFIELD, Mass. (Monday, July 17, 2006) Willy Fox was selected to represent the Pittsfield Dukes in the NECBL All-Star game in Keene, NH on Sunday, July 23rd.

“Willy Fox has been great for us this year,” said Dukes field manager Tim Leveque. “He has a professional approach to the game and will be an asset to the Southern Division All Star Team.”

Fox is leading the Dukes in numerous offensive categories including batting average (.365), on-base percentage (.446), and stolen bases (13). The infielder out of Arizona State University is the leading hitter in the NECBL in batting average.

The Dukes travel to Sanford tomorrow to take on the Mainers at noon. Audio and video broadcasts of the game are available via the NECBL Broadcast Network on www.teamline.cc.

Pittsfield returns home to take on Manchester on Thursday, July 19th at 7 p.m. at Historic Wahconah Park.
