Dukes Will Help Open New Greylock Federal Branch Monday

PITTSFIELD, Mass. (Tuesday June 12, 2007) – The Pittsfield Dukes announced that they will assist in the grand opening ceremonies Monday June 18, 2007 at the newest branch of Greylock Federal Credit Union on Elm Street in Pittsfield.

A group of Dukes players will be on hand for the event, which is scheduled to get underway at 2 pm Monday afternoon. Along with the players will be Duke, their Mascot, and the Voice of the Pittsfield Dukes Dan Sturtevant. There will be an opportunity for photographs to be taken and autographs to be given.

While Dukes have an off day on Monday, they will be traveling to Connecticut to face Southern Division counterparts, the Manchester Silkworms. It will be the third time the teams face each other in the early going of the NECBL regular season.

The Dukes have already been very active in the greater Pittsfield community, as they traveled to Crosby Elementary Monday morning and Williams Elementary on Tuesday. They will journey north and east on Wednesday as they head to Berkshire Trail Elementary School in Cummington for a 9:30 appearance. The fourth and final day of their county-wide tour will hit Pittsfield, Lenox and Hinsdale as the Dukes will start the day at Allendale Elementary at 9 am. before heading to the Morris School for 12:15, and will culminate their tour at Kittridge Elementary at 1:30.
