Dukes Look to Fill Roster With Open Try-Out June 3 at 9AM

PITTSFIELD, Mass. (Sunday, May 6, 2007) – The Pittsfield Dukes are fielding an open try-out for the remaining roster spots on their 2007 roster. The Dukes are entering their fourth season in the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL).

Collegiate Baseball Players who will be entering their sophomore, junior, or senior year at any of the following levels are eligible to participate: NAIA, NCAA, Junior College. Prospective participants should bring their own equipment and uniforms. Players should also bring a copy of their college bio with career statistics including from the current season.

The try-out will be held Sunday June 3rd at the Dan Duquette Sports Academy in Hinsdale, Massachusetts, starting at 9AM.

The Sports Academy is located at 101 Michaels Road in Hinsdale, Mass. Take the Mass Turnpike to Exit 2 (Pittsfield/Lee). Follow Route 20 West to 7 North through Pittsfield to Route 8 South. Then take Route 8 South into the center of Hinsdale, passing the library, school, and Town Hall. Turn right on Michaels Road (just past the railroad bridge) and proceed .75 miles. The Academy is on the right side, opposite Plunkett Reservoir. Directions are also available at www.DuquetteSports.com.
