Dukes Announce 2008
Home Schedule

2008) – The Pittsfield Dukes are pleased to announce their home
schedule for the 2008 regular season. The Dukes will host 23 home
games at
Historic Wahconah Park, beginning on June 9th.
The words “Play Ball” will first be heard at Wahconah Park on
Monday, June 9th
at 7:00pm as the Dukes host the Danbury Westerners to open up the
home portion
of their season.
One week later Team USA which consists of the best amateur
ballplayers in the
country, come to Pittsfield on their seasonal tour to get them ready
for their
World Championships later in the summer. This exhibition will be
played right
here at Wahconah Park at 7:00pm on the June 18th and will be the
first of two
National Teams to visit us in Pittsfield
The second of the two national teams is the Dominican Republic
National team
who will be taking the field on Sunday, July 6th. A long with the
U.S. team the Dominican team will be touring in the states before
the Baseball
World Championships.
Two days before we host the Dominican National team, the Manchester
Silkworms come in July 4th and to celebrate Independence Day we will
be having a fantastic fire work show after the game that everyone
should come to see.
As always our biggest rivals, the North Adams Steeple Cats come to
Wahconah three times, beginning on June 18th. The next two times
come on July 2nd and July 26th.
The 2008 home portion of the Dukes schedule concludes on Sunday,
July 27th at 7:00pm against the Vermont Mountaineers.
